On Tuesday morning, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announced that it has disqualified Anambra State candidate Mmesoma Ejikeme for three years due to allegations of forged UTME results.continue reading 

In a statement released on Tuesday morning by the Board's spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB stated that only Mmesoma out of all the applicants who took the 2023 UTME paraded a "obsolete" notification slip.

The candidate merely fabricated a copy of a result slip for a candidate named "Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle," who took the UTME in 2021 and scored 138. As a result, the Board wants to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised.

In addition, it is instructive to note that the candidate, in her statement, unintentionally identified the legitimate owner of the result she is displaying when she noted that the QR code on the result slip identified the owner of the relevant result before she peddled a lie in an effort to cover up the truth.

"The general public is, therefore, asked to try to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated in order to see the inaccessible position of the Board about this blatant fraud. It should be emphasized that each candidate's UTME results are contained in the QR code, thus the interpretation of those results on the result sheet is all that is contained within.
