JAMB: Mmesoma admits forging her result unaided as pannel demands apology from her.

The report from the panel formed by the Anambra State Government to investigate into the controversy surrounding Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's performance in the JAMB examination has been made public.

The panel accused the 19-year-old girl of forging her results on her own, according to the article, and indicted her.continue reading

"That Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma tenders an unreserved written apology to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the School (Anglican Girls' Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi), and the Anambra State Government," the panel of professors and ICT specialists suggested.

The article continued, "This needs to be done right away. EJikeme Joy Mmesoma needs to get counselling and therapy for her psychological issues.

"All potential candidates for JAMB should strictly abide by the examination body's guidelines, processes, and procedures."

The report from the panel included the date, time, and other specifics of how the adolescent checked her score, the reply she got from the testing centre, and how she later changed and printed the score.

The principal of the Anglican Girls' Secondary School, Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and representatives from JAMB were invited to participate in an interactive session with the committee, according to a report.

Officials from JAMB, led by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Public Affairs, provided a detailed account of the admissions processes and procedures, changes to the policy regarding the publication of UTME results that have been made since 2021, and specifically what transpired with candidate Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, whose registration number is 20230639047FF, during her attempt to obtain her JAMB score.

"JAMB disclosed the different times that Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma made several requests to the JAMB portal asking for her results at different hours, and each of these times (four in number), she received the same results from JAMB in her phone, with the following information: Eng: 64, Phy: 54, Bio: 74, and Che: 57 with a total aggregate score of 249.

She provided results that were significantly different from the typical JAMB format, where she received a proper response claiming that her actual score was 249.

Additional red flags raised by JAMB officials included a different date of birth, a different registration number, and a notification of results form that has been abandoned since 2021, among others.

It was also clear that the Nkemefuna Foundation (formerly Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) centre name that was used for the exam had been altered, as the candidate had used the old centre name (Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) on her own tampered with result sheet.

According to Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's statement, she admitted that the JAMB authorities' account of what happened was accurate and true in front of her principal and the education secretary.

She also acknowledged that she used the identical phone's Airtel number to independently provide a falsified result. She allegedly went to the cybercafe (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) and printed the modified findings there.

"The Committee sought to get Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma to explain why she did what she did, but she said NOTHING. The Education Secretary of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) and the Principal of the Anglican Girls' Secondary School in Uruagu Nnewi each submitted their own submissions.

Mmesoma admitted to manipulating her UTME results in front of them, fooling the school, her immediate family, and the State Government. They expressed disbelief at what had happened.
