Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has said the state will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
He made the statement during a meeting with key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Birnin Kebbi, where party leaders discussed political developments and strategies ahead of the next election cycle.
According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria, the governor expressed confidence in the strength of the APC in Kebbi and its ability to secure victory in future elections.
Idris noted that the ruling party remains united in the state and continues to build support across all local government areas.
The meeting was attended by several political figures, including Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Yusuf Tanko-Sununu, alongside other party stakeholders.
The development comes as political activities gradually begin to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
