Leadership says the African Democratic Congress remains united, focused, and committed to democratic values

The African Democratic Congress has denied reports claiming that its National Chairman, Senator David Mark, has resigned from office.

In a statement released by the Media Office of the National Chairman, the party said the report was untrue and had no basis.

The ADC said Senator Mark remains the substantive national chairman and that neither he nor the party leadership has considered any resignation.

According to the statement, the story was meant to mislead the public and stir unnecessary tension within the party.

The party also said those behind the rumour were trying to weaken confidence in its leadership at a time when political activities are already building ahead of the 2027 general elections.

It added that the leadership of the ADC remains united and committed to democratic governance, credible leadership, and the protection of Nigeria’s multi-party system.

The party urged Nigerians to ignore the rumour and continue to trust the present leadership structure.

The statement was signed by the Media Office of the ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
