During a news conference on Monday, Lt. Col. Richard stated that among the "dozens" of hostages are elderly civilians, families, and kids.

Hecht referred to the weekend attack by Hamas as "unprecedented" and said he could not rule out the possibility that terrorists were still crossing the border and infiltrating Israeli territory.
