Remi was referred to as President Tinubu's "trusted partner in every venture" in his birthday message. He said that throughout their 36 years of marriage, she has consistently made him laugh, brightening his days.

''Oluremi, the love of my life, turns 63 today. The one unique person who, for 36 beautiful years, has consistently made my days full of joy and laughter is my trusted partner in every endeavor.
Today serves as a wonderful reminder of the trip we have taken together as well as a day to celebrate another year of living a life that is meaningful.
We have shared the risk of taking principled, but risky, positions against tyranny over the years. I do and always will fully understand the sacrifices you made for us during that terrifying, dark time.
We have had fun, fallen in love, and had adventures. We have overcome the monster of failure, enjoyed wins, and done it all together in an unbreakable relationship.
