Nigerian youths have flocked to the streets in various places to demand justice for the deceased musician, and discussions over the 27-year-old's death's circumstances have persisted on social media.
To express their outrage about Mohbad's passing on Tuesday, protesters gathered in the Abeokuta district of Panseke, while others convened in various areas of Ondo to call for a true investigation of the incident.Young people came to light candles in commemoration of the late musician in Ado-Ekiti, Agege, Akure, and Asaba as the protests extended to other cities.
Given that Mohbad followers from Ibadan and certain regions of Lagos have also scheduled rallies, it is expected that the protests would extend the full week.
The Lagos State Police Command assembled a 13-person special investigative team to examine into the singer's death.
