Security concerns in the South-East are related to Nnamdi Kanu's incarceration, according to APGA's Awogu

According to lawmaker Arinzechukwu Awogu, the detention of Nnamdi Kanu is responsible for the unrest in the South-East.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is running Awogu for the Ogbaru Federal Constituency in Anambra.

He supports Governor Charles Soludo's demand for a non-kinetic strategy to address the region's security issues.

Kanu, the head of the Indigenous People of Biafra, had been advised to be released by Soludo to the Federal Government on January 14. (IPOB).

Former Ogbaru Local Government Area chairman Awogu thinks Kanu's release would be a good place to start when trying to find peace.

He urged Igbos and everyone who wanted peace to return to help Soludo's efforts to free the instigator.

The incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and subsequent arrest are at the heart of the insecurity that has festered in the South-East area.

According to Awogu, "His release becomes a vital issue in putting an end to the wave of instability in the region."
