Lagos building collapse leaves six people trapped under the rubble.

A seven-story building in the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos State collapsed, trapping about six people inside.

In the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos State, the event took place near to the Sand Field bus stop.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the State Territorial Coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the event on Sunday and noted that emergency personnel had been sent to the location.

Seven-story structure fell at Sand Field Bus Stop in Lekki, he declared. Responders are on the ground, and six individuals are reportedly trapped.

Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, also commented on the collapse and revealed that the structure was still being built.

No harm was done, he declared. However, it is said that six individuals may be trapped beneath the wreckage of the destroyed building.

"The rescue of the trapped individuals will need the use of the agency's heavy duty equipment excavator. We have launched Lagos State Response plan. The procedure is underway. More updates will come.
