Ahmadu Munkaila, the presumed killer of his parents and father of five children in the Gagarawa local government of Jigawa State, stated that his parents deserved to die and that he did not regret killing them in any manner.
Friday, Ahmadu revealed this in his confessional statement to the police.
Using a pestle, Ahmadu reportedly murdered his parents and wounded two others.
He explained, "I am a praise singer, and my parents used to make fun of me and confront me anytime I sang praises to the Prophet Muhammad SAW."
"They used to blackmail me and denounce my actions, saying people I was insane and that they should not listen to me anytime I would sing prophet Muhammad's praises."
For their obscene remarks against the prophet, Ahmadu stated that his parents deserve to die.
"Their blasphemy against the prophet merited death; they are assaulting the prophet, and their penalty is death."
I intend to release my praise songs this year before the incident, and I am confident that I will be released before the deadline since God is always with the righteous, therefore I do not regret my behavior in any way."
However, Ahmadu stated that he suspects his 70-year-old father of having an affair with his wife.
