Peter Obi, a leading 2023 presidential contender, has provided an explanation of the word "obidient."
Obidient is a term for a devoted person that was created by his fans and is derived from his last name, Obi.
The Labour Party (LP) flagbearer defined the phrase in a tweet on Saturday.
He tweeted, "O stands for organized, B for broad-based, I for inclusive, D for democratic, I for international, E for excellence-driven, N for Nigerians from all ethnic groups, and T for transparency in governance.
The 61-year-old former banker and businessman who is now in politics served as Anambra State's governor for eight years.
A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporter, Obi now enjoys a cult-like following among young people all throughout the country who claim to be sick of the establishment.
The candidate is now traveling the world and interacting with organizations, groups, and Nigerians living overseas.
Speaking on Friday in Atlanta, Obi said that his administration will make investments in economic engagement, diplomacy, and security.
He said that doing this would put the nation on a successful course and ensure that it continued to make significant contributions to the global economy.
"We anticipate that the international community will back Nigeria's initiatives to foster economic growth and social inclusion, as well as our audacious efforts to root out corruption.
"By taking a zero-tolerance stance against this disease that stifles progress, we hope to ultimately and effectively eradicate corruption. Corruption will be tolerated under no circumstances. You should anticipate a sledgehammer strategy.
A stable and peaceful Nigeria, according to Obi, would support Africa's sustained development and absorption into the world economy.
