Another building fall in Jigawa State has resulted in seven fatalities and one wounded person.
To bendelnews , police spokesperson DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the event.
Shiisu said that a prolonged, intense downpour was to blame for the building's collapse.
He described how, on Saturday morning about 05:47, a local mud structure fell in Jigawa State's Bursali hamlet in the Birniwa local government district.
He said that seven persons passed away instantly and one was hurt.
Shiisu said that investigators arrived on the scene quickly and transported the victims to Birniwa General Hospital, where a doctor pronounced them dead.
He stated that the second injured individual is getting medical attention.
