56 names of deceased Nigerians with unclaimed assets released by the UK government.

At least 56 Nigerians who passed away in the UK and whose assets, including estates, have not yet been claimed, have had their identities made public by the British government.

The list can be found on the Treasury Solicitor website of the UK government, according to Business Day.

The UK government reportedly stated that by December 2022, it will lose part of the property owned by Nigerians who passed away in the UK within the previous 30 years.

Mark Nwogo, the oldest and one of the afflicted individuals, was claimed to have been born in Delta State, Nigeria, but passed away on December 9, 1992, in the United Kingdom.

Victor Adedapo Olufemi Fani-Kayode, who was said to have passed away in Birmingham on August 15, 2001, is also included.

Arbel Aai'Lotta'Qua Abouarh, a second Nigerian, passed away in Chiswick, London, on February 5, 1998, leaving behind unclaimed riches.

Recent Nigerians who passed away in the UK with unclaimed property include Solomon Adekanmibi, who passed away on January 31, 2021 in Colchester, Essex; Eugene Bucknor, who passed away on March 2, 2021 in Brockley; Jeff Adhekeh, who passed away on March 12, 2021 in South Kensington; and Louisa Holmes, who passed away on May 24, 2021 in Cheam Sutton.
