Contrary to what he has claimed, David Nwamini Ukpo's parents are still alive, according to new information.
David is the donor in the alleged organ harvesting case involving former deputy Senate president Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
David Nwamini was a destitute and orphaned child who had been trafficked from Nigeria, according to the London Metropolitan Police, who had testified in court.
Nwamini later changed his mind and admitted that he is a boy, age 21, rather than a minor.
Now that more information is available, it appears he also made up stories about his parents.
According to a SUN Newspaper story, David's parents are healthy and living.
According to the source, Nwamini and Mary Ukpo, his parents, are both still alive and living with them in Izzida, Nduofia village, Ebonyi Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
Additionally, it was learned that the Nigeria Reformed Church (NRC) congregation where the Ukpo family attends regularly prays for him in the hope that one day he will return to them.
Jonathan Ukpo Nwamini, David's brother, was previously quoted in the media as saying that they operated a phone accessory business in Lagos.
