On Monday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo stated that collaboration among all stakeholders is the only way Nigeria can defeat human trafficking and migration.
At the 2022 UN Day Against Human Trafficking's big finale in Abuja, Osinbajo made the announcement.
Human trafficking is a widespread problem, according to the Vice President, who was speaking through Mr. Adela Ipaye, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Office of the Vice President.
He asserted that the administration of President Buhari has maintained its political commitment to the battle against human trafficking and that this effort would continue in that vein.
We will continue to scale up our efforts in the areas of protection, prosecution, and other areas. "All organisations providing shelter and homes to trafficked persons must ensure that people are not exploited.
Osinbajo emphasised that "we can only win this struggle by working together with a shared vision."
