An attempt to breach the National Population Commission's (NPC) application portal for the 2023 census was thwarted.
Chidi Ezeoke, the NPC Commissioner for Anambra, revealed the information at a news conference in Awka.
According to Ezeoke, the NPC has created a digitalized, online geo-fenced portal to hire staff from particular localities across Nigeria.
The representative reaffirmed the commission's commitment to addressing irregularities in order to produce an accurate and trustworthy census the next year.
If hackers were unsuccessful in doing so, we want to make sure and promise that it will be challenging for them to steal the census in 2023.
"I'm almost positive that the attempt was mostly thwarted.
According to him, "people will try to circumvent your efforts when you are trying out something new," according to NAN.
The NPC State Director, Joachim Ulasi, denied that recruited officers had been substituted, claiming that those who had been dropped were individuals who had missed the 12-day training.
