Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed is standing alongside Peter Obi for president of the Labour Party.
In Abuja on Friday, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed was introduced as the LP's vice presidential candidate.
The 46-year-old is the founder of Baba-Ahmed University in Kano State and Baze University in Abuja.
Speaking at the occasion, Obi asserted that Baba-Ahmed was uniquely prepared to use his experience in the business sector and his academic accomplishments to help free Nigeria from the archaic politics of ethnicity.
Obi noted that the party will base its platform on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in the coming days (SDGs)
Recall that Doyin Okupe, the director general of the Peter Obi Campaign Organization, resigned from her post and sent a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Doyin Okupe was declared the Labour Party's provisional vice presidential candidate (Place holder) in order to beat the deadline set by the electoral umpire.
