Breaking: 2022: INEC extends date for PVC collection

The deadline for collecting Permanent Voter Cards in Osun State has been extended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) (PVCs).

From Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the Commission has promised to make the PVCs available to every ward in the state's 31 local government districts.

The electoral umpire declared in a statement signed by Oluwaseun Osimosu, Public Affairs Officer, INEC Osun State, that prospective voters should bring the registration slips they received throughout the registration process in exchange for the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

"The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Osun State wishes to inform the general public, particularly all eligible voters who have yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, that they can now do so at the Registration Areas (Wards) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily," the statement said.

"In exchange for Permanent Voters Cards, prospective voters must bring their Registration Slip received during the Registration Exercise" (PVCs).

"The Commission would like to emphasise that collection via proxy is not permitted, and that PVC collection is completely free."

"As a result, the public is urged to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain their PVCs." "If you don't have a PVC, you can't vote."

The electoral umpire had set a deadline for the collection of PVCs for June 30, 2022, according to the DAILY POST.

In addition, the 15 political parties competing in the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election received an e-copy of the voter's register.
