Tourism: Hajj 2022: The first round of people from Zamfara to be airlifted.

The first group of intended pilgrims in Zamfara State has arrived at the Hajj Camp in Gusau, the state capital, in preparation for their transit to Sokoto's Sir Abubakar 111 International Airport for the Hajj exercise.

The first batch of intending pilgrims is from the state's Anka, Bakura, Bukkuyum, Birnin Magaji, Maradun, Kaura Namoda, Talata Mafara, Tsafe, Shinkafi, and Maru Local Government Areas, according to the Bendelnews.

They are also likely to be airlifted at the Sokoto Airport, according to this media.

Nasiru Mu'azu Magarya, Zamfara State Amirul Hajj and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, visited the Hajj Camp earlier to oversee smooth operations, along with executive Chairman of the state Hajj Commission, Lawal Isah Abdullahi, and other authorities.

Before departing for Sokoto, State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle is expected to address the pilgrims.
