2023 APC Presidential Update: Three candidates dropped out of the presidential race, leaving osinbajo and tinubu.

Senator Kabiru Gaya, a lawmaker representing Kano South, has stated that three presidential hopefuls from the All Progressives Congress, APC, have stood down in favour of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Senator Ken Nnamani, the former Senate President, and two others, he added, made the decision to help the party find a consensus candidate.

The lawmaker told Channels TV at the APC convention in Eagles Square, Federal Capital Territory Abuja, that the party had succeeded in limiting the number of aspirants in line for consensus to two.

Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, and Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, were among those listed by him.

"In the next one or two hours, we will decide who will fly the party's flag," he stated. Even if we can't agree on a single candidate, at least one or two will run for office.

"Only Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Bola Tinubu remain as presidential candidates."

"I'm completely aware that several candidates, including Ken Nnamani and two others, have withdrawn their candidacy for Osunbajo," he said.
