ISWAP:Terrorists have taken over a military base in Borno.

On Sunday night, members of the Boko Haram splinter organisation Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) overran a military base in Gamboru-Ngala, Borno State.

According to accounts, terrorists attacked a military base in Gamboru Central Primary School and dislodged Nigerian Army men (NA).

Terrorists set fire to the security facility as retaliation for military attacks in the Lake Chad region.

Many terrorist commanders and fighters were killed in the Lake Chad Basin (LCB) and Sambisa forest as a result of Nigerian army' destructive offensives.

Danfulani was a top ISWAP commander tasked with persuading Fulanis and herders to join a terrorist organisation. He also oversaw the terrorists' actions, including the deployment of spies and tax collectors.

According to reports, the terrorists became enraged and decided to attack the military base. They were claimed to have launched bombs into Ngala town over the weekend, killing one civilian and injuring six more.
