Buba Danfulani and other ISWAP commanders killed in an airstrike.

Amir Buba Danfulani, the commander of the Islamic State's West Africa Province (ISWAP), was killed by the Nigerian military.

The action was carried out by Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets as part of Operation Hadin Kai's Air Component.

The airstrikes over the Sambisa axis also killed five additional key members of the sect.

Musa Amir Jaish, Mahd Maluma, Abu-Ubaida, Abu-Hamza, and Abu-Nura Umarun Leni were among those that died.

Danfulani enlisted, taught, and oversaw the deployment of spies, as well as tax collectors, among the Fulanis/herders.

Tumbun Kaiyowa and Tumbun Allura were identified as active terrorist training camps by an intelligence mission.

They were also utilised as a launch pad for projectiles fired at Nigerian Army positions in Borno's Mallam Fatori.

"The planes dropped bombs on Tumbun Kaiyowa's targets and rockets and cannon on Tumbun Allura's." Terrorists on the run were shot down by jet helicopters.

"A similar operation was carried out within Sambisa Forest at Parisu and Njimia, where three separate planes blasted the objectives," a police officer told PRNigeria.
