Tunde Rahman, a media aide to Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has clarified why his boss travelled to the United Kingdom, UK, for a meeting with the British government.
Remember that the former Lagos State Governor returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom in October after receiving knee surgery in the United Kingdom.
According to a statement released on Friday by Tinubu's media aide, the presidential contender for the year 2023 has travelled abroad to attend various meetings related to his political ambition.
Aides have stated that the Asiwaju of Lagos would return to the country next week following his consultation meeting with stakeholders in the United Kingdom.
In his words, Asiwaju Tinubu is in "great health" and "good spirits." Unfounded and incorrect speculations have appeared in a national daily and on social media, and that is exactly what they are."
"Asiwaju's travel to the United Kingdom is not for rest or to recover from illness. While away from home, Asiwaju maintains a rigorous schedule of meetings and consultations on a wide range of vital issues that affect the country.
"Whether at home or abroad, Asiwaju's daily routine is colourful and packed with activities. The majority of people would be unable to maintain his high level of exercise. Asiwaju will return to Nigeria the following week, following the conclusion of this series of meetings and discussions in foreign countries.
