Arewa youths want Dangote, Adenuga, Okonjo-Iweala, and other people to run for president.

The Arewa Youth Assembly has asked some well-known Nigerians in the business world to run for president in 2023.

There should be a presidential race in 2023 for people like Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mike Adenuga, and more. They say this will help Nigeria get back on its feet.

They said that these Nigerians who work in the private sector have the skills to run the country.

Dozens of Arewa youths, led by Mohammed Danlami and Desmond Minakaro, wrote a statement called "Private Sector Players to Join the 2023 Presidential Race." It was signed by both.

They said that politics should not be left to the current crop of politicians.

People who are smart and well-known all over the world live in a country like Nigeria, where there are great and smart people who have good reputations. Why not let them teach the rest of us?

Under any of these names, Nigeria's economy would do well, the youths said. They said that because they are already employers of labour, they will be able to create jobs.

"We are begging and calling on the most successful business people to run for president in 2023," they said. "They need to stand up and be heard."

These people are all running for president: Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Orji Uzo Kalu, Dave Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President. They all say they will run in 2023.

However, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, hasn't said whether or not he will run for president. There are signs that he will join the race.
