Manchester United's First January Signing Is Expected To Arrive In The England Soon.

Julian Alvarez, a striker for River Plate, is almost certain to move to England after Manchester United agreed to pay the 21-year-January old's termination clause, according to Sport.
Alvarez is expected to arrive at Old Trafford in January.

His €20 million release clause has been met by the Premier League heavyweights.

Since making his debut in October 2018, Alvarez has made 96 appearances for River Plate, and is likely to become Man United's first signing in January.

For River Plate, the Argentine has 36 goals and 25 assists to his name.

Top European teams such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have taken notice of the youngster.

Manchester United, on the other hand, is expected to win the race for Alvarez, with Alvarez's agent, Fernando Hidalgo, expected to travel to England this week to finalise the deal.

Hidalgo is set to come to England soon to talk to River Plate about a possible transfer to Ralf Rangnick's side, but he is adamant that they would not sell for less than their asking price.
