There have been changes to Nigeria's final 28-man list for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations, which starts in Cameroon next weekend. Victor Osimhen, a forward, had a positive test for the coronavirus pandemic a few days ago, and Abdullahi Shehu has been injured.
Tyrone Ebuehi, a right-back who can play in both defence and midfield, has replaced Cyprus-based Shehu in the group. Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, a defender who can play in both defence and midfield, has replaced Leon Balogun in the group. Ajayi can also play in the middle of the field.
When Osimhen isn't there, Greece-based Henry Onyekuru can take his place. Onyekuru was also at the last finals in Egypt. Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis, who is in great form for the English Premiership club, has been let off the hook to make room for Peter Olayinka, who is from the Czech Republic.
The 33rd Africa Cup of Nations finals kicks off on January 9 and will end on February 6.
