The couple said their marriage has taught them that a successful union goes beyond sharing beautiful moments.

They explained that marriage requires couples to deliberately choose each other every day while allowing room for personal growth and showing patience and forgiveness.

They also highlighted the importance of praying together and trusting God through the different seasons of marriage.

“We have learnt that marriage is not just about the beautiful moments. It is about choosing each other every day, giving room for growth, showing patience, forgiving, praying together and trusting God through every season,” they stated.

‘God Has Been at the Centre of Our Home’

The Adeboyes further attributed the longevity of their marriage to the faithfulness of God, saying He has remained at the centre of their home throughout their journey.

“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful,” they said.

The couple also expressed appreciation to everyone who has supported, loved and prayed for them and their family over the years.

As they celebrate 59 years together, Pastor Enoch and Pastor Folu Adeboye said their hearts are filled with thanksgiving and anticipation of what God still has in store for them.

“We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store,” they added.

They concluded their anniversary message with the words: “To God be all the glory.”

The couple signed off their message, “59 Years and still grateful.”
