Controversial “manosphere” influencer Clavicular has revealed an unusual method he claims he used to increase the size of his penis, saying he sometimes performed the routine while driving.Read original
Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, made the revelation during an interview with comedian Howie Mandel for an upcoming episode of the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast.
The 20-year-old influencer, who is associated with the online “looksmaxxing” movement, was asked about the methods he uses to enhance his appearance and genital size.
He described himself as being interested in what he called “printmaxxing”, a term referring to making the outline of a man's penis more noticeable through clothing.
Clavicular describes his unusual method
According to reports of the interview, Clavicular said his routine has included pumping, stretching and what he called a “shopping bag hang.”
The influencer claimed the technique involved using a shopping bag containing books or weights and applying tension to the penis.
He said the purpose was to stretch the suspensory ligament, a band of connective tissue that helps support and anchor the penis to the pubic bone.
Clavicular claimed that consistent use could result in approximately an inch of additional length.
He also revealed that he had performed the practice while driving, describing it as something he could do during trips on back roads.
The comments have attracted attention online, particularly because medical professionals warn that improvised weight-based stretching can cause serious injury.
Doctor warns against DIY stretching
Urologist Dr. Rajesh Patel, president and former Chief Medical Officer of Associated Urological Specialists, said medically designed penile traction devices are very different from improvised methods involving weights.
Patel told the New York Post that medical traction devices are designed to apply controlled tension and may produce modest length gains in some circumstances.
However, he warned that people using homemade methods cannot accurately determine how much force is being applied or how much stress the tissue can safely withstand.
According to Patel, excessive or repeated tension can injure blood vessels, nerves and erectile tissue.
Possible complications include bruising, swelling, skin injuries and significant pain. More serious injuries could potentially result in loss of sensation, scar tissue or erectile dysfunction, he warned.
It could have the opposite effect
The doctor also warned that excessive stretching could potentially affect the structure and function of the penis rather than produce the desired result.
Repeated trauma may contribute to curvature or other structural problems, while damage to the suspensory ligament could affect support and stability.
Patel also cautioned that it can be difficult for someone performing an improvised routine to know when tension has gone beyond stretching and started restricting blood flow or damaging tissue.
There is therefore an important distinction between professionally designed medical traction devices and attaching weights to the body using household items.
What is looksmaxxing?
Clavicular has become one of the prominent online personalities associated with “looksmaxxing”, an internet culture centred on improving physical appearance.
The trend ranges from conventional activities such as exercise and grooming to more extreme practices promoted by some online personalities.
Clavicular has gained attention for discussing unconventional approaches to physical appearance and self-improvement. His comments about penis enhancement have previously attracted significant online attention.
While Clavicular has made claims about the results he says he achieved, those personal claims should not be treated as medical evidence.
Medical experts quoted in reports about the controversy have specifically warned against attempting the weighted shopping-bag method because of the potential for serious injury.
For anyone concerned about penis size or se*ual function, a qualified medical professional can provide advice based on an individual's circumstances rather than potentially dangerous DIY techniques.
