Afrobeats star Davido has reacted sharply to comments made by publisher and presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore about his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Sowore, while assessing Adeleke’s administration during a recent interview, questioned the governor’s control over the affairs of the state and made a controversial remark about his intellectual capacity.

According to Sowore, the governor is allegedly not fully in control of his administration, claiming that members of Adeleke’s family, including his sister and his elder brother, Adedeji Adeleke, who is Davido’s father, have influence over the government.
Sowore said:
“What I saw in Governor Adeleke's leadership is that the guy is not even in control of his government. I did myself a little disservice. I watched him on the Arise TV town hall meeting and I am appalled that such a character is governing a state.”
He further alleged that the family was effectively running the state before adding:
“As a person, Ademola has nothing upstairs.”
The comments subsequently drew a reaction from Davido, who took to social media to respond to Sowore.
The singer described Sowore as “Arindin,” a Yoruba expression commonly used to mean “fool.”
Davido’s response has added another dimension to the ongoing debate surrounding Governor Adeleke’s leadership and the reported influence of his family members in Osun State politics.
