Sowore turned his criticism toward Adeleke, questioning the governor’s educational history and political decisions.

Omoyele Sowore has fired back at Afrobeats star Davido following the singer’s reaction to his criticism of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Sowore, in a post responding directly to Davido, said the “real arindin” was the governor, who he described as the singer’s uncle.

The activist went on to question Adeleke’s educational background, claiming that the governor returned to obtain an equivalent of a General Educational Development (GED) certificate after previously serving as a Nigerian senator.
Sowore also criticised Adeleke’s decision to support President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election.
According to him, the political relationship was allegedly aimed at protecting the Adeleke family’s influence in Osun State.
“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01,” Sowore wrote.
He further accused Davido, his family and other political actors of belonging to what he described as a “rotten political establishment.”
Sowore alleged that the political class had benefited from the hardship faced by Nigerians, while warning that the situation would eventually change.
“But the tables will turn. The Nigerian people will not endure this forever,” he added.
The exchange follows Sowore’s earlier comments about Governor Adeleke during an interview with News Central TV, which prompted Davido to describe the activist as “Arindin,” a Yoruba expression commonly used to mean a foolish or unintelligent person.
Sowore has now returned the insult while expanding his criticism to include the governor’s political record and the Adeleke family.
