Tesla has raised the prices of two Cybertruck models in the United States, adding another $5,000 to the cost of the electric pickup's Dual-Motor AWD and Premium AWD versions.
The latest price adjustment puts the Dual-Motor AWD at $74,990, up from $69,990, while the Premium AWD now costs $84,990, according to Tesla's latest pricing information reported on Tuesday. Reuters also confirmed the $5,000 increases.
The top-of-the-range Cyberbeast remains priced at $99,990, meaning Tesla has left the most powerful version of the Cybertruck unchanged while increasing the prices of the two lower configurations.
Cybertruck prices after the increase
The updated U.S. prices are:
Dual-Motor AWD: $74,990 — up $5,000
Premium AWD: $84,990 — up $5,000
Cyberbeast: $99,990 — unchanged
The increase marks a significant change for customers considering the entry-level Cybertruck. The Dual-Motor version is now $15,000 more expensive than its $59,990 introductory price earlier this year.
That means the truck has moved from being marketed around the $60,000 price point to a starting price approaching $75,000.
Cybertruck price continues to change
Tesla's Cybertruck pricing has undergone several changes since the electric pickup was introduced. The company has adjusted its lineup and pricing as it moved between different versions and configurations.
The latest increase comes shortly after the regular-priced Cybertruck lineup became available following the end of the more expensive Foundation Series.
