The redeployment, approved by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, affects officers serving in senior management and operational positions at the national and zonal levels.
According to the FRSC, the exercise is aimed at bringing fresh perspectives into various commands while ensuring that officers' professional experience and expertise are deployed where they can have the greatest impact.
Among those affected are five Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs).
ACM GO Omiko, PhD, who previously served as ACM Special Duties and External Relations (SDER), has been moved to head the Operations Department.
ACM EF Akinlade, MInstTA, formerly ACM Research, has been reassigned as ACM Command Administration and Strategy (CAS) in Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.
ACM JO Asaolu, PSC, MInstTA, previously with the Policy Advisory Unit, will now serve as ACM Research.
Also redeployed is ACM MB Ibrahim, formerly ACM Special Marshals, who will take charge of Special Duties and External Relations at the Road Safety Headquarters.
Meanwhile, ACM FA Ogidan, formerly ACM Command Administration and Strategy at the Operations Headquarters, has been appointed Zonal Commanding Officer of RS10HQ in Sokoto.
The Corps Marshal described the redeployment as a normal part of managing a dynamic organisation and said the movement was necessary to improve performance and ensure the FRSC remains responsive to changing road safety challenges.
He said the Corps must continually optimise its human resources in response to emerging realities in road transportation, traffic management and enforcement across the country.
The FRSC said the exercise also reflects its focus on professionalism, accountability, operational discipline and effective leadership, particularly as commands face evolving challenges in road transportation and safety administration.
All affected officers have been instructed to report to their new commands and assume their responsibilities with immediate effect. They are also expected to ensure a smooth and properly documented handover of their previous duties.
The Corps Marshal urged the redeployed officers to view their new positions as opportunities to make a greater contribution to the FRSC's mandate of reducing road crashes and improving safety for motorists and other road users.
He further called on them to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, innovation and commitment in their new assignments, stressing that each posting comes with increased responsibility and an opportunity to deliver measurable results.
The FRSC leadership said it remains committed to building a stronger, more responsive and performance-driven organisation capable of advancing Nigeria's road safety agenda.
