Ogudu land is in mourning after the death of Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola, the Ologudu of Ogudu land. Palace sources said the first-class traditional ruler died in the early hours of Thursday at his home in Ogudu. The cause of death has not yet been made public.
The palace said the monarch “departed this world in peace.” Residents, chiefs and well-wishers have begun paying tribute, while activities in the community have been scaled down in line with Yoruba rites.
Oba Fashola was said to have ascended the throne four years ago. During his reign, he was described as a symbol of culture, peace, unity and progress in Ogudu land.
