Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has denied reports that his wife, Simi, gave birth to twins, saying the couple welcomed a baby boy instead. He made the clarification during an interview on Great Day Houston, a morning show on KHOU 11 in Houston, Texas, which was later uploaded to YouTube.
When the host mentioned twins, he corrected the claim and said, “Not even twins. That’s the internet, by the way. We have a son.”
Gold, who already has a six-year-old daughter with Simi, also spoke about married life, describing it as rewarding to be with another musician.
He said they often share ideas at home, and added that their daughter is already showing signs of interest in music. The interview also touched on his new album, Fuji Xtra, which he said was released the same night.
