How Premium Trust Bank Split N50m Among 13 MSMEs in Lagos

Premium Trust Bank has given N50 million in business grants to 13 entrepreneurs and small business owners in a partnership with the Hallelujah Challenge Corporate Social Responsibility team.

The presentation took place at the Hallelujah Challenge Centre in Lagos and was framed as part of the bank’s push to support small businesses and strengthen local communities.

The bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Efe Emefienim, said the institution was intentional about the partnership. He described the platform as “a platform where lives are impacted and dreams are birthed,” adding that the winners were also trained to help them use the money well and grow their businesses.

Nathaniel Bassey, founder of the Hallelujah Challenge, also thanked the bank for backing the project. He said the goal was to go beyond praise and “touch lives” in a practical way.

According to the report, the beneficiaries emerged from an online business pitch competition that drew entries from millions of Nigerians. Inya Michael Irem, a poultry farmer, won the top prize of N5 million. Four first runners-up received N2.5 million each, while the remaining eight beneficiaries got N1 million apiece.
