Passengers arriving in Turkey from Iran on Monday described scenes of fear and uncertainty in Tehran as explosions and missile strikes rattled the capital city.
Some travelers who boarded a train from Iran to Turkey said the journey was their only chance to escape the growing danger. Many spoke of hearing explosions and seeing panic spread across neighborhoods as attacks intensified.
Mohammed Hosain, one of the passengers who arrived in Turkey, said the situation in Tehran had become extremely dangerous.
“Missiles are coming, bombs are coming from anywhere,” he said shortly after stepping off the train, describing the frightening moments before he left the country.
Another traveler, Fatma, who declined to reveal her last name, acknowledged the difficult conditions facing people in Iran but insisted that many citizens remained determined despite the threats.
“Of course it is difficult, we do not deny it,” she said. “But people are brave. They can bear whatever they do with us, but we will not accept whatever Israel and America want.”
Her comments reflect a mix of fear and defiance among ordinary Iranians as tensions continue to rise in the region.
The reports from passengers come amid escalating geopolitical tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. In recent years, the region has experienced several periods of military confrontation, raising concerns about wider conflict and civilian safety.
For many families in Tehran, the uncertainty has created difficult choices — whether to stay and endure the instability or attempt to leave the country for safety.
Analysts warn that if the situation continues to worsen, more civilians could attempt to flee, putting additional pressure on border crossings and neighboring countries.
For now, those arriving in Turkey carry stories of a city living under the shadow of missiles — and uncertainty about what the coming days may bring.
