Iran Executes Alleged Mossad Spy Arrested While Attempting to Flee the Country After Trying to Pass Classified Military Secrets to Israeli Intelligence Handler

Iran Executes Alleged Mossad Agent Over Espionage Charges

Iran has announced the execution of a man accused of working for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, in what authorities describe as a major counterintelligence victory.

According to a statement released by Iran’s Judiciary on Saturday, the convicted spy — whose identity has not yet been made public — was executed after being found guilty of “espionage and collusion with a foreign intelligence service.” Officials say the man had been under surveillance for months before his arrest and was detained at an airport while attempting to flee the country.

Judicial authorities claim the agent was preparing to deliver “highly classified military and security information” to his Mossad handler abroad. The intelligence, according to Iranian officials, included sensitive data related to Iran’s defense installations and internal security operations.

“The individual was apprehended before he could leave Iranian territory,” the Judiciary’s statement read. “Through the vigilance of our security services, a serious breach of national security was prevented.”

The announcement marks the latest in a series of espionage-related arrests and executions in Iran, as Tehran continues to accuse Israel of conducting covert operations on its soil — including cyberattacks, assassinations of nuclear scientists, and sabotage of defense facilities.

Iranian state media hailed the execution as a “firm response” to foreign espionage networks, emphasizing the country’s “zero tolerance” stance on collaboration with enemy intelligence agencies.

Israel has not yet issued an official comment on the execution. However, Israeli officials have in the past neither confirmed nor denied links to individuals accused by Iran of espionage, often dismissing such claims as part of Tehran’s internal propaganda campaign.
