Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş, with the midfielder expected to undergo his medical in Istanbul today.
According to club sources, Beşiktaş and Leicester City have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of £8.5 million, bringing an end to Ndidi’s eight-year spell at the King Power Stadium.
The 27-year-old, known for his ball-winning ability and tireless work rate, is set to become one of Beşiktaş's key summer signings as they prepare for a title push and European competition this season.
Ndidi had entered the final year of his contract at Leicester, and with no agreement reached on an extension, the Foxes opted to cash in rather than risk losing him for free next summer.
Once the medical is successfully completed, Ndidi will sign a multi-year deal with the Turkish side.
