NSE promises to support approaches to Nigeria's engineering problems.

The newly inaugurated President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr Margaret Aina Oguntala, has conveyed the commitment of the NSE to drive innovation and technological advancement for the accelerated growth and development of Nigeria. 

Oguntala emphasized that the NSE, under her leadership, will encourage research, support startups, and champion engineering solutions to address Nigeria's challenges. 

She urged the government to formulate policies for fair welfare packages for engineers, implement Executive Order 5 for promoting Nigerian content in contracts, and support STEM education for more students to pursue engineering careers.

Oguntala also highlighted the NSE's focus on Vocational STEM education and called for collaboration between engineering companies and universities for developing new technologies.
