Gaza Conflict: 400 Palestinians Killed in 24 Hours, China Calls for Ceasefire

 

In the past 24 hours, there has been a tragic escalation in violence in the Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian health officials, approximately 400 Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli air attacks, and a particularly devastating toll was taken during overnight attacks, where 60 more individuals were killed.Read full article 

The Israeli airstrikes have specifically targeted residential areas within Gaza, causing immense destruction and loss of life. Notably, these attacks have struck the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp, as well as locations in close proximity to Gaza's critical medical facilities, Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals.

Furthermore, the Israeli military intensified its raids in the occupied West Bank during the same night, resulting in the unfortunate deaths of two Palestinians in a raid on Nablus.

In a glimmer of hope amidst this dire situation, Egypt's Red Crescent organization has been actively involved in delivering humanitarian aid through the Rafah border crossing on Monday, aiming to provide some relief to those affected by the conflict.

China has also played a role on the international stage by calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. They have expressed their commitment to taking any necessary steps to help bring an end to the ongoing violence.

The overall human cost of this conflict is staggering, with at least 4,651 Palestinians losing their lives due to Israeli attacks on Gaza.

 Simultaneously, over 1,400 people in Israel have tragically lost their lives since the beginning of the violence on October 7. This situation highlights the urgent need for peace and a resolution to the ongoing conflict in the region.
