This comes after the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal upheld President Bola Tinubu's victory and rejected his appeal.
Bendelnews reports that Peter Obi, a member of the Labour Party, and Atiku contested the tribunal's decision to certify Tinubu's election on Wednesday.
The legal counsel for the Labour Party, Kehinde Edun, has vowed to take the decision to the Supreme Court for review.
Additionally, Chris Uche, SAN, Atiku's lead attorney, said that the candidate had asked him to appeal to the Supreme Court.
He declared, "The verdict has been given, but justice has not been served. We are fortunate that the law gives us the power to appeal to the Supreme Court. Our clients have given us the go-ahead to visit the Supreme Court. The conflict goes on.
The PEPT, which met at 9.40 a.m. at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, determined that the claims made by Atiku, Obi, and their respective parties lacked merit and unanimously upheld Tinubu's election victory on February 25.
The challenges filed by Atiku and Obi, which contested the Independent National Electoral Commission's declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election on March 1, 2023, were successively dismissed by the five-member court.
Justices Stephen Adah, Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf, Moses Ugo, and Abba Mohammed, in addition to the tribunal's chairman, Justice Haruna Tsammani, assisted in making the ruling.
Atiku, a former vice president, and Ambassador Umar Damagun, the acting national chairman of the PDP, expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision and said that they will be speaking to the world press about it.
The scheduled conference at the NEC Hall, which is on the first floor of the PDP National Headquarters, is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.
