In a recent interview, she said that she dislikes it when people say that her acting career is the result of her father.
She asserts that she met the majority of the people she is currently acquainted with independently, without the help of her father, in the entertainment or film industries.
Temi claims that she has made most of the contacts she has in the entertainment world on her own, outside of her father's network.
She also shared how much she missed her mother, who passed away a few years ago.
She stated:
"First of all, even though school was only scheduled to last four years, I'm happy to have finished it after six. And since I am actually just emerging from it, I can't really say much about what is going to be right now. Life after school has been essentially the same. However, it is not as if I have never worked in the field; the main distinction is that I would now have more time for my job.
"I wish I could talk more about this privately because it is a lengthy story. My career and I have experienced both positive and negative side effects from being Jide Kosoko's daughter. On the plus side, I've been able to network more effectively, even though I met the majority of the individuals I know directly rather than through my father.
"My dad doesn't often introduce me to others. I don't like it when people link my dad to my success or to who I am. I often remark that having a famous father has been more detrimental to me than advantageous. First of all, it frequently gives people an entirely false idea of you.
"When people see you, they often assume that you are proud, and before you can even show them that you are not, they begin to berate you. I work at a lot of places, and as soon as people learn that I'm Jide Kosoko's daughter, they all just start acting rudely toward me.
"They nearly always expect you to do more when you're featured or a star in a movie. You will hear people remark things like, "Well, she got it because she's the daughter of this and that," even if you perform flawlessly and land the part. This is untrue because I genuinely worked hard to land the role. However, I must admit that the name gives me alot of respect. She said.
