Adam Umar El-yandiski, the TUC Kano State subregion's public relations officer, called Channels Television to confirm the report.

He claims that the connection that supplies electricity to the Niger Republic comes directly from the national grid and has nothing to do with the delivery of electricity to any particular area of the nation.

The action was a part of an effort to put pressure on the coup leaders in the nation.

Garba, on the other hand, revealed via his Twitter account on Friday that Niger has acquired a backup power source.

The APC stalwart claims that Algeria would now supply electricity to Niger.

He stated, "Algeria is to supply electricity to Niger Republic for free."
