HomeENTERTAINMENT Drama in Delta as Angry driver Bites Off VIO officer's ear. byEsigamhe Avioboh - •July 03, 2023 In Warri, Delta State, on Friday, a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) named Papu Prosper was attacked and had part of his ear chewed off by an unnamed Sienna car driver.The incident allegedly occurred early on Friday morning outside the Federal Government College in Warri amid a quarrel over outdated information, according to the victim who detailed his trauma.Prosper identified himself as a VIO when he spoke with media in Warri. During a patrol we performed in Warri, Delta State, we apprehended a motorist whose vehicle's identification had expired."During the process, my supervisor instructed me to accompany him to our office in Warri to verify whether his information is current or not."While I was pursuing him, he threatened to kill me, saying the VIO had accomplished much. He then pulled out a dagger and began trying to mutilate me."I found it difficult to exit the car because it was moving quickly. I fought him throughout that time, and he chewed off part of my ear," he said.Prosper said, "The driver of the Sienna spat out his (Proper's) ear, which fell to the ground, left his car, and fled."Prosper thanked God for saving him and pleaded with the authorities to carry out justice if the Sienna driver is found while the vehicle is being held by VIO.“I give God all the glory for keeping me alive.
