Tems won the "Best Collaboration" award for her work on Future's "Wait For U," which also features Canadian rapper Drake, despite losing two of her three nominations.
'Wait For U' received the Grammy Award for 'Best Melodic Rap Performance' in 2023, according to Bendelnews.
The song, which debuted at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart last year, has now won the BET twice.
At the 2023 BET Awards, Tems had earlier lost to SZA in the "Best Female R&B/Pop Artist" category and to Beyoncé in the "Viewer's Choice" category.
Burna Boy also lost out to Chris Brown and Usher for "Best Male R&B/Pop Artist" and Teyana Taylor for "Best Video Director" respectively.
The "African Giant" crooner, however, won the "Best International Act" prize for a record-breaking fourth time.
At the 2018 BET Awards, Beyoncé and SZA shared the most awards with three each.
