According to Mr. Samuel Fadeyi, the NSCDC's Commandant in Cross River, the organisation has deployed 2,670 people throughout the state in preparation for this Saturday's poll.
Fadeyi, who announced this on Thursday, stated that the action was taken to ensure appropriate security during the state's governorship and house of assembly elections.
According to Fadeyi, the personnel would collaborate with other security agencies to make sure the drill went off without a hitch.
The commandant advised corps members serving in election duty to conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and integrity.
