2023: US Govt Speaks On Their Position In The General Election.

The US administration has emphasised that it does not have a favoured candidate in Nigeria's general election.

At a town hall meeting held by the Niger-Delta Open Observatory, NOGO, on Saturday in Asaba, Delta State, the American consul general, Will Stevens, announced this.

Stevens also issued a warning that the US government would deny visas to anybody who incite electoral violence.

"The US has no favourite candidate, end of story! We have no preference for a particular party or candidate.

Free, fair, and credible elections that accurately reflect the will of the people are what we are interested in, added Stevens.

"The United States will discourage any politicians, individuals, or other parties that are supporting election violence or attempting to subvert the political process," he said.
