The Lagos Police Department has issued a statement in response to reports circulating online that they had arrested actress Eniola Badmus in connection with the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of afrobeats artist Davido.
This comes after speculation about Eniola Badmus's arrest began in the wee hours of Saturday morning. This development comes as a result of that.
According to a number of blogs, the actress allegedly phoned Ifeanyi's nanny on the phone to prevent her from discovering that the youngster had left the room to go to the pool.
Benjamin Hundeyin, a representative for the police department, responded to the reports by telling BBC Pidgin that Eniola was not arrested.
"The story is not true, nothing even somewhat similar took place," Hundeyin stated.
Eniola Badmus was one of the first celebrities to post a mysterious statement on social media in which she revealed that Ifeanyi had passed away.
Ifeanyi, Davido's kid, passed away on the 31st of October, eleven days after celebrating his third birthday, as a result of drowning, according to Kemi Filani's recollection.
