ISWAP and Boko Haram clash in Borno, reportedly killing 6 terrorists.

Six terrorists were reportedly killed during an attack on the strongholds of Abubakar Shekau's Boko Haram branch by members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, claims that the assailants also took five AK-47 weapons from Boko Haram insurgents.

According to sources, the weekend incident seemed to be a continuation of their ongoing rivalry conflict after ISWAP terrorists quietly broke into the Boko Haram insurgents' home in Gajibo, a town 95 kilometers northeast of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, and killed six people they deemed to be "infidels."

"ISWAP had carried out several successful attacks against Boko Haram terrorists in its sustained feuds, which caused the group a massive casualty and loss of war assets," Makama stated on his official website.

As the revolting ISWAP had sworn to struggle more with members of its former main body than even with the Nigerian troops, the escalating rivalry conflicts amongst jihadist factions "may drive them to permanent self-destruction."
