UAE has stopped issuing tourist visas to Nigerians under 40, according to the FG.

It has been revealed by the Federal Government that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stopped issuing tourist visas to Nigerians who are less than 40 years old.

This statement was given by the government in response to a video that went viral showing Nigerians being stranded at an airport in Dubai.

Francisca Omayuli, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that individuals whose visas were revoked did not comply with the condition of their visas.

The public was notified through a statement released by the official that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) now considers those "seeking for family visas."

It was stated that the Nigerians shown in the clip were awarded family visas, but upon arrival in Dubai, they did not have any members of their families with them.

They were told to go back to their home country and apply for the required visas after being told that they could not enter the nation.

"Those who were granted entrance had family members already present in the UAE, whilst those who stated their family members were on another aircraft were instructed to wait at the airport."

According to the government, under the new visa regime for the UAE, applicants are required to indicate their visa preferences in a clear and concise manner while also showing respect for the immigration laws of other countries.
